SYNCHILLA BY PATAGONIA

Summer is around the corner and we all know that that means… more beach and hiking trips on the calendar. Even though summer can be crazy warm, there is that feeling when the sun falls and a tiny bit of chill hits the air. The people over at Patagonia have thought this problem through and have the Simple Synchilla Jacket as their answer. It’s super lightweight, comes in a bunch of sleek colors (our favorite is red) and can be tossed in your backpack at anytime. Throw it on and it’s guaranteed to match what you’re wearing and keep you warm at the same time. Sounds like a good 2 for 1 to us. Get your Patagonia Simple Synchilla Jacket HERE.

THE KEY BOARD BY COOL MATERIAL
If you’re a normal person (we’re assuming you are) and own a set of keys (we’re assuming you do), chances are you’ve managed to lose them at least once in the last thirty seconds.  Now although we can’t help you find them, or prevent that mini heart attack you get every time you misplace them, we can direct you towards the Key Board.  A 7.5” by 3” wood panel that you can attach right to your wall, it contains powerful magnets so every time you walk in the front door you can just flip your keys right onto it.  It’s handmade in California and available in either ash or walnut HERE.

BLACK REBEL BY SWATCH

We’re on this throwback trip, loving everything from our youth, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention our favorite time keeper Swatch. The amazing thing about the watchmaker is their ability to stay relevant without having to change too much. Our favorite piece from their New Gent collection is this monochrome watch aprly named the Black Rebel. This watch is so tough, even the day and date display is black on black. You can get yours HERE and wear black on the outside regardless of how you feel on the inside.

ALCATRAZ BY SPY OPTICS

Spy Optics has been making rad glasses since 1994 but check it out, this new luxury Crosstown Collection they just released is next level with respect to both design and quality. They incorporated this new technology called Happy Lenses that let in long-wave blue light and block bad rays. Essentially, they’re Trident polarized which means they will stay that way until, well, forever. There are eight styles to choose from and the whole collection is super rad, our favorite is the Alcatraz. Something about this style reminds us of Léon: The Professional, they’re just super tough looking. View the collection HERE and invest in some shades that will last you until eternity.

Music Video: “Kids Get Away” - Jamaican Queens

We took a liking to “Kids Get Away” the moment we first heard it but we’ll admit we like it even more now having seen this cinematic music video for the track by Detroit-based indie trio Jamaican Queens. Inspired by a vicious attack suffered by close friend of the band, the grainy visuals tell the story of a damsel in distress and her unexpected hero (a.k.a. our kind of story.)

Music Video: “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” - She & Him

Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward get animated in this new music video for “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. While most guys we know would do just about anything to be stuck in a snowed-in cabin with the New Girl star, for some reason her bandmate seems dying to escape. Watch for yourselves to find out why.

There’s a totally valid reason Jared Leto is looking a little gaunt in these photos taken by photographer Terry Richardson — the actor reportedly shed more than 20 pounds to prepare for his role in the upcoming AIDS biopic The Dallas Buyer’s Club alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.

Music Video: “Wraith” - Peace (NSFW)

Watch out French Montana: turns out twerking isn’t just for hip-hop videos anymore. In the new visuals for their single “Wraith”, British indie rock outfit Peace take to the strip club, complementing their dark, gritty sound with shots of mesh-wearing video girls popping and dropping it. As one might have guessed, this video features plenty of skin so we’d definitely suggest you watch this one away from your desk.

"L’Amour et La Violence (KRONO Remix)" - Sébastien Tellier

We’re not at all ashamed to admit that nearly five years after the release of Sexuality, we’ve still got Sébastien Tellier’s “L’Amour et La Violence” on several of our playlists. And now, thanks to this killer remix by French electronic group KRONO, we have even more of a reason to keep this track on repeat.

"Last Christmas (WHAM! Cover)" - The xx

Not only are the holidays a time of merriment and cheer, they can also become that dreaded occasion each and every year when you’re forced to listen to the same songs on repeat over and over again. And while there’s nothing like Wham!’s “Last Christmas” to help get you into the spirit, The xx have come to save us all from tears with this breathy, bass-heavy cover of the classic. Check it out!
