Interview: Abby Elliott

Having been one of the more recognizable faces on Saturday Night Live before her departure from the show last season, funny girl Abby Elliott quickly won the hearts of guys across the country — ours included.

And though we were sad to see her go, we were also thrilled to hear she’d be appearing alongside comedians David Koechner and Owen Benjamin in AXE Hair’s new multi-city “Splitting Hairs” stand-up comedy tour.

We sat down with Elliot before she took to the stage in NYC to learn more about the tour and find out what she’s been up to since SNL.

Music Video: “Sad Dream” - Sky Ferreira

Just the other day, the NYLON girls drew our attention to the newest music video from electro-pop singer Sky Ferreira. While we’d listened to the track a number of times already (more intrigued by the singer’s wispy vocals than the song’s somber lyrics) the visuals for “Sad Dream” really add a whole new element to the Ghost release. Whatever Ferreira’s message behind this particular track, we definitely feel it.

“The Kate Moss Book”

As evidenced by her showstopping walk during the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics, British supermodel Kate Moss has still got it. And while the model’s recent campaigns are still stunning, nothing can compare to her other works throughout the years which is why we can’t wait for the release of The Kate Moss Book (due out through Rizzoli on November 6).

If you think the image above is just a well-shot photograph of a stunning redhead you’d be wrong — it’s actually a ballpoint pen drawing by artist Samuel Silva. Using eight different colored pens it took Silva a total of 30 hours to complete the project. Let’s see you try that the next time you’re bored in class.
